Crispy Kale!

January is the perfect month for Kale, and Crispy Kale is a fun way to enjoy it! In fact my kids now love Kale and it all started with this simple Crispy Kale recipe. This is great as a snack or as a side dish. If you are worried about the sugar/salt content simply add or remove as required!

Ingredients

300g Kale (this can be Green, red or Cavolo Nero)
Rapeseed Oil
Pinch of Salt
Pinch of Sugar
Pinch of Chinese Five Spice (optional)

Method

  1. Heat the oven to 140 degrees C
  2. Wash and dry the Kale then tear into small pieces removing the tough stalks
  3. Place in a mixing bowl and drizzle with rapeseed oil (or Olive oil)
  4. Spread onto a baking tray and pop into the oven until crispy (around 15 minutes)
  5. Remove from oven and sprinkle with salt, sugar (optional) and Chinese five spice (optional)
