These are amazing, one of those times where you wish the internet had taste-vision as no words we use to describe these will be enough. Now there are two stages to these, you can eat them as dry ribs or we’ve included a recipe for BBQ sauce which really will take them up a notch. We recently served these at a BBQ everyone went silent as soon as they started eating. The best thing about them is that you can do the cooking in the morning or the day before and then all you need to do is pop into the oven for 20 minutes before serving, giving you more time to play host.
1kg Beef Ribs
2-3 Tbsp of The Greedy Fox Smokey Steak Seasoning
1/2 Cup of Water
150 ml ketchup
4tsp Vinegar (malt)
4tbsp Golden syrup
2 tsp English mustard
1 clove of crushed garlic
1/2 deseeded and chopped red chilli (optional)
Preheat oven 140 degree
1) Add the ribs to a baking tray and rub the seasoning all over the ribs, lay them out evenly spaced on the tray, add half a cup of water.
2) Cover the tray with a triple layer of tinfoil. Cook on 120 for 4 hours.
3) Add all the ingredients for the sauce to a pan and bring to the boil, reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes until syrupy.
4)Remove from oven, drain the fat from the tray, cover with the BBQ sauce and cook uncovered for 20 minutes (basting as you go) on 180.
